The journey so far! :)

A little bit of background on our journey so far...

My partner and I are going to be first-home owners and have decided to take the plunge and build our first home through Plantation.

We have spent many months planning and saving to get to this point. We started looking at display homes towards the beginning of the year and have changed our minds a few times (originally we were going to build through Metricon) to finally land on our dream home...the Aurora Q1!! :)

We are very lucky as the Aurora Q1 display home is only about 5 minutes away from where we currently live (very handy indeed!) I think the sales staff there are quite used to us wandering in to have a look all the time lol!

Anyhoo so basically our journey has been broken into two stages:

1) First step was to find suitable land and settle. Again, after lots of searching, research and negotiating we chose a 3/4 of an acre block at Ningi, which is about 6mins off the highway on the way to Bribie Island. We  settled on the 8th October 2012! Very exciting!!! Welcome to the world of having a mortgage lol!! :-S

2) Next step is to continue on with our plans to build the Aurora Q1 through Plantation! :)

Anyhoo, that might be enough for the first post- more on our journey so far to be continued......

PS - some piccy's of our block of land :)

Our Street (our block is on the RHS)

FYI - the neighbours across the road have built the 'Majestic' through Plantation, its a very nice looking estate and an extremely quiet area :)

  1. My husband and I were seriously thinking about the Aurora and like you we also considered Metric on too. We ended up going with the Q2Retreat as is was a better choice for the aspect we wanted. Our journey started in July and we have only just done our electrical, I can't wait for the slab to be down. We are building in Moggill and there are quite a few PH homes all have said they were happy with their builds which is quite comforting. Good luck.
